As Dusk Falls
The London-based studio Interior Night launched As Dusk Falls in July 2022 to critical acclaim. This is easily the biggest, most involved game project I've worked on, and it is certainly one of the industry's biggest narrative launches this year.
We built a multiplayer branching story, telling a dark tale of a crime gone wrong in a unique art style.
We were proudly published as a first-party Microsoft game, for Xbox and PC.
My Role
I was one of the core producers on this project. I covered our core content-generating teams, including the Cinematics, Writing, 2D Art, 3D Art, Lighting, and VFX teams. I kept the teams running and also made story-relevant decisions to uphold the integrity of our character arcs and the authenticity of our setting across all these departments.
When changes or rewrites had to happen to our lengthy script, I managed the process to ensure changes were debated thoroughly, drafted in script form, and are actually implementable. I also contributed to our scripts for walla, police chatter, and other background storytelling.
I also was the primary internal producer planning and running our film shoots. Everything from shot planning to cast and crew selection to props and costume work sat in my portfolio. We ran our shoots to full UK film industry standards, despite our unusual interactive story and pandemic shooting conditions.
